1. What is ALLEGRA and what is it used for?
The active ingredient of ALLEGRA is fexofenadine hydrochloride. 180 mg fexofenadine hydrochloride (168 mg fexofenadine) is contained in 1 film tablet. The tablets are in the form of a peach-colored, modified capsule, film-coated.
ALLEGRA was offered in carton box packages containing blisters of 20 film tablets.
ALLEGRA is available in 2 dosage forms. ALLEGRA 180 contains 180 mg fexofenadine hydrochloride in a film tablet. ALLEGRA 120 contains 120 mg fexofenadine hydrochloride in a film tablet.
ALLEGRA is a group of antihistamine drugs. Symptoms such as antihistamine drugs, hay fever (seasonal allergic rhinitis), pruritic nasal discharge, redness and irritation in the eyes, as well as signs of itching and reddening of the skin in a condition called chronic idiopathic urticaria.

Use with other medicines
Aluminum
and antacids containing magnesium hydroxide (it is recommended to leave 2 hours between the administration of ALLEGRA and these types of antaacide drugs).

3. How to use ALLEGRA?
Instructions for proper use and dose / application frequency:
Fexofenadine hydrochloride recommended for adults and children aged 12 years and older is 180 mg once daily dose. (1 tablet per day, ALLEGRA 180 mg Film Tablet)
Application path and method:
ALLEGRA is used orally. Drink the tablets with a glass of water the amount your doctor recommends. Get your tablets before meals.
If you are using anti-acid medications containing aluminum or magnesium for your indigestion complaints, leave a 2-hour interval between ingestion of these medications and ALLEGRA's ingestion.
Different age groups:
Use in children: ALLEGRA is not used in children under 12 years of age because the credibility and effectiveness have not yet been proven.
Use in the elderly: Studies involving elderly patients indicate that adjusting the dose of fexofenadine hydrochloride is not necessary in these patients.
Special use cases:

Effects that may occur when treatment with ALLEGRA is terminated
If you stop ALLEGRA treatment without your doctor's approval; redness and itching on your skin may resume.

4. What are the possible side effects?
As with all medicines, there may be side effects in people who are sensitive to the ingredients in the ALLEGRA content.
If any of the following occurs, stop taking ALLEGRA and report it to your doctor or contact your nearest hospital emergency department:
• If you start to breathe with difficulty and wheezing
• If your face, tongue, or throat develops swelling that will make swallowing or breathing difficult
These are all very serious side effects. If you have one of these, you have a serious allergic reaction to ALLEGRA. You may need to be admitted to an emergency medical intervention or hospital.
If you notice any of the following, tell your doctor:
• Headache, numbness, nausea, dizziness, fatigue
