What is ARIMIDEX and what is it used for?
White, round, biconvex film coated tablet. Tablet is printed on one face and logo is printed on the other face.
The active ingredient of ARIMIDEX is anastrozole.
ARIMIDEX is included in the group of drugs called aromatase inhibitors. This drug inhibits the effects of aromatase, an enzyme found in the body. Aromatase enzyme provides for the production of female hormone estrogen from the adrenal gland in women who have entered menapause. These female hormones have a stimulating effect on breast cancer. ARIMIDEX reduces the production of postmenopausal female hormone by inhibiting the effect of aromatase enzyme.
ARIMIDEX is used in postmenopausal women to treat breast cancer.
The ARIMIDEX film tablet is packaged in 28 tablets.
2. Things to watch out for before using ARIMIDEX
Do not use ARIMIDEX in the following situations

If you have not entered menopause,
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding your baby,
If you have severe renal insufficiency,

Use with other medicines
Do not use ARIMIDEX with the following medicines:

3. How to use ARIMIDEX?
