What are the side effects?

As with all medicines, there may be side effects in people who are sensitive to the ingredients contained in ESTROFEM.

Stop using ESTROFEM if one of the following is true and report it to your doctor or contact your nearest hospital emergency department:

Hypersensitivity / allergy (Uncommon side effects - 1 to 10 people affected by 1000 people)

Although it may be an uncommon case, it may lead to hypersensitivity. Hypersensitivity may include one or more of the following: irritation, itching, swelling, difficulty in breathing, low blood pressure (shortness of breath and dullness, rapid heartbeat), dizziness, sweating, anaphylactic reaction / shock There may be indications. If any of the abovementioned symptoms occur, stop taking ESTROFEM and seek urgent medical advice.

These are all very serious side effects.

If one of these is available to you, you may need to be admitted to an emergency medical intervention or hospital.

The frequency of possible side effects is listed below according to the plan:

The following side effects have been reported with other HRTs.

- Color change (chloasma), known as "pregnancy spots" on the skin, especially face and neck,

- painful red skin swelling (eritema nodosum)

- Itchy or irritated with sores (eritema multiforme)

Compared to women who do not use HRT, the following diseases are reported more frequently in women who use HRT.

  • Breast pain, breast sensitivity or breast growth

  • Gallstones
  • Itching or rash (urticaria).
  • Irregular vaginal bleeding
  • Migraine worsening
  • Stroke
  • Dizziness
  • Diarrhea
  • Hair loss (alopecia)
  • Biliary disease
  • Various skin diseases
  • Insomnia (asleep)
  • Epilepsy (epilepsy)
  • Changes in sexual desire
  • Vaginal infection caused by fungus
  • Worsening of asthma
  • breast cancer
  • abnormal growth of the intrauterine tissue or cancer (endometrial hyperplasia or cancer)
  • ovarian cancer
  • blood clots in the legs or lungs (venous thromboembolism)
  • heart disease
  • stroke
  • Possible memory loss if HRT starts over 65 years of age
